Beta-actin is a highly conserved protein that are involved in cell motility. NOTE: Please refer to primary antibody product webpage for recommended antibody dilution. Reacts with human actin, beta-actin Recommended for Western Blot applications. Signal intensity was normalized to the tubulin signal. For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted primary antibody in 5 w/v BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1 Tween 20 at 4C with gentle shaking, overnight. Normalized signal intensity of Actin Beta from whole cell lysates prepared from HeLa separately transfected with two unique siRNA duplexes against Actin Beta (1 & 2) or a scrambled siRNA (-). Western blot analysis of whole cell lysates prepared from HeLa separately transfected with two unique siRNA duplexes against Actin Beta (1 & 2) or a scrambled siRNA (-) probed with Mouse anti Actin Beta antibody ( VMA00048) followed by detection with HRP conjugated Goat anti Mouse IgG (1/10,000 STAR207P) and hFAB rhodamine anti-tubulin primary antibody ( 12004165) and visualized on the ChemiDoc MP with an 50 second (chemiluminescent channel) and 30 second (rhodamine channel) exposure. Specificity for gamma actin determined by 2D gel electrophoresis. These antibodies target beta Actin in Human, Mouse, Rat, Porcine and Non-human primate samples. In Xenopus laevis a secondary band is detected at about 30kDa. Antibodies that detect beta Actin can be used in several scientific applications, including Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, ELISA and Flow Cytometry. This antibody detects a single clean band in Human, Mouse, Rat, Chicken and Drosophila samples. It probably also recognises all the other known forms of Human actin. supernatants (S) separated from pellets (P) and all were analyzed by Western Blot with anti-actin antibody (we used Anti-Actin mAb from Calbiochem. Blocking with purified milk proteins preferred over commerical concentrated milk solutions. This antibody recognises beta and gamma actin in Human samples. Target Information Beta actin is one of six actin isoforms which have been identified. Western Blot: 1:500-1:2,000 or greater non-specific bands can occur when primary antibody is overloaded. For visualization of actin filaments by immunofluorescence, fixation and permeabilization with methanol is required. Arrow points to actin beta (molecular weight 42 kDa). By Western blot, PA1-183 detects a prominent 42kD protein in human, mouse, non-human primate, and rat whole cell lysates. Western blot analysis of whole cell lysates probed with actin beta antibody followed by detection with HRP conjugated Goat anti Mouse IgG (1/10,000, STAR207P) and visualized on the ChemiDoc MP with 25 second exposure.
